Opening an Old Email… and a Flood of Emotions

Today, I opened my first Gmail account.

Inside Google Drive, I found old folders: “important file”, “11 & 12 class memories.”

Sushant KC’s “Sathi” was playing in the background.

I didn’t cry. Not really. Just… felt something. A quiet wave of nostalgia, a strange calmness.

And then it hit me.

I’ve always chased success, building, coding, learning.
I believed productivity was everything.

But in that journey, I lost something: connection.

I never gave time to friendships. Barely to family.
Now, everyone’s moved on. Old friends still hang out, still laugh.
I’m proud of my progress. But sometimes, I wonder, was it worth it?

Coming home felt different this time. Messages were left on “seen.” Calls postponed.

Plans? Always for another day.

That’s when I realized: I chased dreams and forgot people.

Now, the silence feels louder.

This isn’t regret, it’s just a reminder.
Success means little without someone to share it with.
